Everyone comes from their own background and experience, when it comes to their fitness. Once you’re here with us, we try to take your fitness to new, challenging and exciting levels. While at first, you might be new, at CrossFit Des Plaines, you soon become an athlete. Here’s a peek into the journey as an athlete here at CFDP.

Awareness
You might have heard from us through a Facebook post, Instagram story, the name “CrossFit” on ESPN, or from a friend who has mentioned it to you before. Either way, you have gathered a sense of awareness about this type of fitness program called “CrossFit” and you may Google the nearest one in your city or near your work place. You now know we exist!

Consideration
So now that you know about us, it’s possible you’ve thought about giving us a call, or perhaps checking out our website because you were interested in this CrossFit program or gym that you have heard about. You might check out what programs we have to offer, our pricing, or give us a phone call. We understand that you might be shopping around for a few options, or comparing pricing, or simply just finding out more about what we have to offer. We’re always happy to answer your questionsAt this point, you’re further interested, and want to give one of our programs a try. You may schedule a trial class with one of our coaches and give it a go. Otherwise, you might schedule a Get Fit Start consultation with us, to answer more of your questions, analyze your current lifestyle and how we can offer you a program or solution to what you’re looking to achieve. Trial or Consultation
At this point, you’re further interested, and want to give one of our programs a try. You may schedule a trial class with one of our coaches and give it a go. Otherwise, you might schedule a Get Fit Starter Package consultation with us, to answer more of your questions, analyze your current lifestyle and how we can offer you a program or solution to what you’re looking to achieve. Either way, your first in-person impression is made here, and we want to make sure you have the best hour of your day when you come in through our doors. Best part? Your first trial or first consultation is ON US. Nothing to lose!

Commitment
Usually after your trial class or maybe a day or two after, you have already decided upon yourself whether you are ready to commit to your new athletic journey at CFDP. You might’ve enjoyed the workout, the coaching knowledge and feedback, and/or the supportive community. You chat with your coach about what programs we have to offer, and typically commit to one of a few options: Fundamentals Course, Just Move Beginners Classes, CrossFit Classes, Personal Training, or Nutrition Coaching. Your commitment begins a realm of possibilities for your fitness goals for at least the next 3 months.

Re-Commitment
So you’ve dipped your feet in the water, and you have a greater understanding of how the program you chose to commit to has impacted your health and fitness. Whether it’s the end of your 6-week Beginners’ Class, or the end of your first 3-month commitment, you’re debating if this is the long-term type of commitment you’d like to make; if this is a lifestyle you can see yourself living: working out for 1 hour a day, a few times a week, with some really uplifting people, getting stronger and fitter as each day goes by, practicing good recovery and nutritional habits, and continuing to make gains in other areas outside of the gym as a by-product of being your best self. Not only that, we keep you engaged with our community with events, educational opportunities, member spotlights and other exciting new offerings. Your fitness is important to us, and as you recommit to that, we reciprocate to best serve you.

Advocate/Ambassador
It’s inevitable; you enjoy your experience with us, and the results you see. You start to tell your family and friends about CrossFit, people you know who live or work in the area to check it out, or you might be checking in on Facebook to share your journey with others. You begin to advocate for what was once something you simply “heard of” and is now a part of your everyday life. You’re making referrals to your friends, and receiving referral credit or possibly an appreciation package from your coaching staff in return. Soon enough, you begin to bring others to the beginning of their own athlete lifecycle, beginning with awareness.
