“I have been consistently training with Scott in CrossFit for the past 6 months. In those six months, I have been following a meal plan, which he created. This meal plan was personally designed to help me reach my specific fitness goals. Before beginning my CrossFit training with Scott, I was extremely unhealthy, overweight, and unhappy. My initial goal was simply to lose weight, and I have lost 30 lbs. in the past 6 months! However, my goals have grown beyond what I want to lose. They have also become about what I want to gain. I have become stronger. I have pushed my body to do things I never thought possible. I have gained strength both inside and out, which has brought confidence and happiness to my life. Scott is able to design workouts that are catered to any skill level. Whether you’re a beginner and just starting your journey, a seasoned athlete looking to improve on your skills, or anywhere in between, Scott’s programming allows everyone and anyone to achieve the best results for their level of experience.”

“I have been doing CrossFit for roughly 3 years. Throughout this time I have had a baby and then worked my way to the competition program that Scott created. It has been quite the journey and I don’t think I would have been as successful without the guidance and amazing coaching provided by Scott. Under his guidance, I have been able to achieve many of the goals I have set for myself including a strict pull-up, which has since turned into 6. He truly cares about his athletes and their goals. The passion that Scott has for CrossFit and everything it stands for is hard to find.”

“I started CrossFit when I was 56 years old and had little to no experience in physical fitness. I needed to find an activity that would address flexibility, mobility and keep my interest. I was apprehensive of being older, heavier and worried that arthritis would take over my life; I was terrified to expose myself.

Before I began CrossFit, I phoned my doctor, had a physical and got started. I remember so clearly how difficult it was to just breathe during the warm ups for the first few months! Soon, I was able to go through the warm ups while chatting with people as my lung capacity had certainly increased. I felt so much stronger physically but also I felt energized emotionally!

What I love about CrossFit is not being judged. I love the instruction, very detailed instruction. I love the demonstration of lifts and gymnastic moves. I love the answers to my questions. I love the modifications for my personal situation. I love walking into a gym with warm, smiling people. I love Scott. I love being able to do things that I wasn’t able to do when I started, like weight lifting. I had never done it before, but dead lifting is awesome. Bench pressing is probably my favorite.

What I would like people to know who are considering CrossFit, it is okay to be scared at first. Listen to your coaches; they know what they are doing. Talk to people you work out with – they help. Get good shoes! And laugh.”

“I began Scott’s CrossFit training a little over 3 years ago. Now 50 years old, I can confidently say that I am in the best shape of my life. I was an avid runner before beginning CrossFit. I completed multiple marathons, ran daily, and I believed I was in good shape. I knew very little about what CrossFit was when I began. With Scott’s patience and coaching I was able to quickly and safely learn the basic movements which I have continued to build upon. After about 3 months of following Scott’s training and nutrition program, I started noticing positive changes to my body and the way I felt about myself. Fast forward 3 more years, and I feel stronger than ever. For the first time in my life, I feel my core is strong! I have not only developed physical strength. I have strengthened myself emotionally as well. After years or different diets and workouts (Trust me, I have tired them all!), I am finally happy with my body and being in my own skin. As I age, my biggest goal is to live a healthy, active life that enables me to continue to do all the things that I love. I firmly believe my goals can be accomplished by following Scott’s CrossFit training and nutritional program.”
